The Hills are Alive....

It's 13:05 here in god knows where the F I am, Turkey...I've been hitting the pavement hard so far this morning. It's just tough getting mileage under my belt it seems. I've been at it for 3.5 hours and covered 215km already. Problem is, when I look at my map, I think I'm only little more than half way to Pamukkale.
I've stopped for a 15 min break now for a clif bar and some water. Petrol stations seem to be the most friendly to travelers, so here I sit.
The riding this am, again has been wonderful. Starting out at sea level, and heading out and ultimately getting to 1,850m above sea level on a very nice overlook.
Mostly mountain riding today, but its great. So pretty, but desolate as well. I am completely solo on these roads for long stretches, a little eery actually. If a 30 year old motorcycle tourist rides his bike off a cliff, but no Turk sees it, did it really happen?
A great canyon run from Elmali to Seki, followed immediately by that hill climb to 1,850m. Plenty of twisties and downshifting up and down the mountain.
I could also swear that I rode exactly through the spot where they film the Riccola cough drop commercials. (Photo.)
More after this commercial break...
